I think a lot about different things and often times I like to voice my opinions in hopes that people will listen and perhaps act or think on what I have to say. I try to avoid posting these opinions on the internet because it is not exactly a conducive environment for constructive conversation or debate: especially when it comes to controversial topics.
Ultimately I believe that many people don't truly think about or investigate what they believe or examine the evidence given for why to believe what they believe. My political views are this: That we are not asking the right questions. Now of course my views extend beyond that, otherwise I never would have come to the conclusion that we are asking the wrong questions. However, I use that a a conduit for promoting true and honest discussion.
I will probably dedicate a separate post that details my reasons as to why I think this way and my evidence for why many people choose to take things with blind faith.
I want to preface my blog with this: that I do not think I am right about everything. I'm not sure anyone believes that. This is important for one thing, I am still young and my views are subject to change. However, I do base my views on standards and absolutes. Which basically means this: that some things will change, others will not. I am a Christian, and my faith in Jesus Christ is the ultimate standard I measure myself, my opinions, and beliefs against. This does not make be infallible. I will end up thinking and saying things that are incorrect, skewed by bias, and may offend some people (provided anyone reads this).
I was going to write about a thought I had today, but this post seems long enough, I don't think I'd read it if I stumbled upon it. I will end this here and finish my post later.
